Glad and I will soon make our 5th visit to Latvia and to our adopted families in Sarkani and Seda. Our projects include work in both villages and The SA's, "Change a Village" initiative is moving forward as planned. We bought a derelict house where TSA, Latvia are now building a children's and families' house. Most residents in Sarkani live without showers, toilets, water, sewerage or heating, and adult alcoholism is widespread.
In the new house, there will be showers, toilets, washing machines, kitchen. There will be homework for school children, stories read to preschool children, and, of course, SA junior soldier's activities and worship services for adults.
If you're interested in supporting this private mission trip please contact Sven at selmoscow@aol.com. We need volunteers to travel with us to do manual labour, as well as paint, tools, etc, and financial support. But most of all we value your prayers for this ongoing and very crucial SA mission.
Blessings, Sven and Glad
